Finance Committee

The Committee of Finance supports the financial execution of the Society to review, deliberate, and supervise the work of the income and expenditure of the Society.

Publication Committee

The official journal of journal of the Korean College of Rheumatology (KCR) is the bimonthly published Journal of Rheumatic Diseases (JRD). The editorial board of the Journal of Rheumatic Diseases (JRD), is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the editing, business, subscription, and publication of the Journal.

Academic Affairs Committee

The Korean College of Rheumatology (KCR) scientific meeting is held biannually during the spring and fall seasons. Our committee is in charge of organizing and holding the academic conference. Our committee also selects the superior presentation winners during the spring KCR scientific meeting, and selects the prize-winning articles of the year among the articles published in the ¡®The Journal of Rheumatic Diseases (JRD)¡¯, an official journal of the KCR.

International Cooperation Committee

The Committee of International Cooperation works on building and improving communications and international relationships between the Korean College of Rheumatology (KCR) and other international organizations of rheumatology. Scientific collaboration and selection and endorsement of participation in the various rheumatology meeting in most countries are fostered within this committee.

Committee on National Health Insurance

The Committee on National Health Insurance shall concern itself with the following 3 agenda
  1. developing effective liaisons with governmental agencies in terms of public policy aspects of rheumatologic health-care delivery and health-care financing.
  2. developing quality-related health care activities including development of outcome measures, practice guidelines, quality indicators and related practice implementation tools.
  3. developing economic, technical, and ethical issues that bear on the practice of rheumatology

Publicity Committee

The Publicity Committee is responsible for raising public awareness of the rheumatic diseases through various campaigns, providing access to supportive information, and developing sustainable networks among patients, organizations, appropriate media, and regulators. Since 2008, our committee has been continuously conducting 'the GoldRing Campaign'

Education and Training Committee

It is the task of the Korean College of Rheumatology (KCR) Standing Committee on Education and Training to formulate and promote education and training opportunities in rheumatology in Korea. We seek to design on up-to-date high quality educational programs related to rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases for rheumatologist and health professionals that cater to their changing needs.

Clinical Research Committee

The KCR Clinical Research Committee is dedicated to develop and maintain the registries for important systemic rheumatic diseases. At first, the Committee has successfully completed the REgistry of Pulmonary Hypertension Associated with Rheumatic Disease (REOPARD). REOPARD was a nation-wide, multi-center, observational registry initiated in 2007 and designed to study longitudinal clinical course and disease management in Korean patients with pulmonary hypertension associated with connective tissue diseases. Follow-up registries include the KCR Biologics Registry (KOBIO) and the systemic lupus erythematous nationwide cohort. KOBIO was established in 2012 to follow patients with rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and psoriatic arthritis treated with biologics under the main purpose to monitor adverse events and drug survival. The lupus cohort is also undergoing superbly and will be able to help answer important questions such as changes in disease activity, comorbidities, and complications in lupus. The KCR Clinical Research Committee is planning to pursue additional projects that could eventually help KCR members and other rheumatologists better understand and manage patients with chronic systemic rheumatic illness.

The Health Policy Committee

The Health Policy Committee shall concern itself with researching and developing health related policies to benefit the patients who are suffering from rheumatologic diseases and the society which the patients belong to. To achieve this goal, the Committee shall establish effective liaisons with government and organizations concerned with public policy aspects of caring for rheumatic diseases.
